MONOPRINTS

A collection of monoprint original artworks are now available. The selection of multimedia works includes the ‘Blunt’ series, ’Yellow bird’ and other small pieces

The Blunt series was created with a blunt pencil (the name probably gave it away). The tiny, old pencil was not only used create the monoprint layer to the works but also the small faces within. It’s almost as if the little faces are trying to burst from the print they were confined to

'Yellow bird’ is the last available work from a larger series of mono print drawings, which are now each within private collections. The prints for these pieces were created with banana skins and were then combined with more detailed pencil areas. In doing so this revealed abstract creatures once hidden within their potassium based origins
