CROWD DRAWINGS

We’re giants in the sky

In Isobel’s crowd drawings, watercolour-pencil-people wonder endless expanses of paper, engrossed in conversation and carrying mystery objects in hand. In the pencil-people universe the flat lands of the papery streets seem to go on forever, miles of off-white surface to walk and looming giants peering from above. For us in their sky, we find everything to be a mystery. Where are these little figures going? Who are they talking to? What are they are holding? What are they wearing?

Painted in 2019, these watercolour and pencil works can hang separately or be paired as a duo- to expand the worlds of these little pencil people. What story will you give them?
