“Farewell Isobel unpacks my ongoing grief since the passing of my dog one year ago, utilising the souvenir as a vehicle for remembering nostalgic and saddened memories. In doing so, I aim to capture the bittersweetness often surrounding moments of upheaval, through nods to eccentricities associated with my pup in the inclusion of playful sculpture and scales. ‘Farewell Isobel’ aims to serve not only as an antidote for my own grief but additionally as a place where others can seek comfort too.”
